Carolyn is a Senior leader whose Human Resources career spans 25 years within the educational, retailing, and professional services sectors (both union and non-union environments). As a HR professional she has assumed specialist roles in the areas of performance management, training & development, recruitment, employee relations and diversity. As a generalist, she has extensive experience in, succession planning and employee engagement.
During her career Carolyn has also acted as a private consultant to clients in a wide variety of sectors including mining, manufacturing, construction and the public and private sectors. Areas of consultation include recruitment, employee engagement, communications, strategic planning, change management, policies/procedures and succession planning.
As a professional facilitator, Carolyn understands that different individuals learn in different ways. She structures her training with a wide variety of opportunities for participants to experience the concepts examined, and believes that learning should be participative and fun while challenging the status quo.
As a consultant Carolyn recognizes that her clients require very different approaches to meet their unique needs. She is able to work with her clients to engage in an in-depth process of reflection and evaluation as to what is next for them. Following this she guides her clients in designing a program that best suits their individual needs and time frames She believes that the role of a Human Resources professional is to be the strategic link between the business and the talent of the organization. She is passionate about helping organizations maximize their financial success by engaging the most valuable resource – the human resource!
